History came alive for our Grade 4 students as they stepped into the shoes of Patriots and Loyalists in a spirited Road to Revolution debate! 🇺🇸💬 From researching key events to crafting persuasive arguments (with a little @hamiltonmusical flair 🎶), they brought the colonial era to life. 🎥📰 Big news! Three Modern Journalism students—Daisy Whittington, Benjamin Easterlin, and Alec Fahlbusch—have been selected by PBS News Student Reporting Labs to develop their original stories on hidden histories. ✍️📺 Their pitches caught the attention of a national media organization, and now they’ll work with PBS producers to bring them to life! 🌎🎙️ Huge thanks to Ms. Bickel for creating real-world opportunities for her students.

✉️📬 Special delivery from PK4! Our young learners took on the role of postal workers in the Post Office Project, a hands-on adventure that blended literacy, math, and social connection. From writing heartfelt letters to sorting mail by classroom zip codes, they strengthened their writing, number recognition, and problem-solving skills—all while spreading joy across Lower School! 💌📨

Grade 9 got an exclusive look into the world of zines at Georgia State’s special collections archive! 📰✨ But wait—what’s a zine? A zine (pronounced ‘zeen’) is a small, self-published booklet that blends storytelling, art, and design to share personal, cultural, or social messages. Students explored Atlanta’s zine culture, created their own pages, and are now back in graphic design class crafting zines on topics like the human experience, global food culture, and hip-hop. Stay tuned for their creative voices to take center stage! 🎨📖

Last weekend, our Middle School students took the stage for a night of pure comedy gold in the style of SNL and Studio C! 🎤✨ With 19 student-written, directed, and designed sketches, the night was filled with energy, creativity, and nonstop laughs. Our cast & crew delivered a show to remember! 🎬👏
